8 AM - 10 PM
Multi-day Event
Annual Conference

Dear AUA colleagues,

On behalf of the Program Committee, Auburn University is honored to host the 71st annual AUA conference. We look forward to welcoming you to our vibrant campus from June 14 to June 18, 2026 (note that this is one week earlier than typical).

This year, our conference theme is SPIRIT OF PLACE -  “BALANCING HERITAGE AND PROGRESS” where we will explore:

·      The Role of the University Architect: Stewardship, Ethics, and Enduring Impact

·      Vision to Reality: Crafting with Purpose

·      Carrying History Forward: Balancing Preservation and Progress on Campus

·      Designing for Inclusion: Architecture as a Catalyst for Connection and Civil Discourse

Our Program Committee is diligently curating a dynamic agenda, with each day centered around fresh ideas and meaningful discussions that honor our rich history while embracing the future. We are working closely with our committee chairs to ensure each session aligns with our vision for this year’s event.

During your time in Auburn, you’ll have the opportunity to explore the beauty and character of the Heart of Dixie. Discover the historic Toomer’s Corner, stroll through the scenic Davis Arboretum, or enjoy the warmth of the Auburn community at local restaurants and coffee shops. For those seeking adventure, the nearby Chewacla State Park offers hiking, mountain biking, and waterfalls. Auburn is also surrounded by charming small towns and picturesque countryside, perfect for day trips and exploration.

To give you a taste of what awaits, be sure to view our “Welcome to Auburn” video.

We can’t wait to see you in June 2026.
